It is my great pleasure to welcome you to our school website. Cedarwood Primary is a friendly school situated in the heart of the Kesgrave community. Our staff, pupils, parents and governors are committed to achieving the highest possible standards. At Cedarwood, we value every child and aim to achieve Excellence and Enjoyment for All. Children’s happiness and well-being is paramount and we seek to develop confident, creative individuals who share a passion for learning.

Our curriculum is carefully planned to bring the subjects of the National Curriculum to life so that pupils develop their knowledge and skills in a way that inspires their curiosity and equips them for their futures. The success of the school can be seen in our well-rounded, happy and confident learners, who move onto high school well-prepared for the next stage in their lives.

I am very proud of our school and hope this website will offer an insight into life at Cedarwood.

Are you looking for a school place?

We understand that choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions a parent has to make. To help with this we would be pleased to give you a tour of our school so that you can see what Cedarwood has to offer your family - you do not have to live in Kesgrave to apply for a place at Cedarwood. Please contact our friendly office team by telephone on 01473 612981 or by email to admin@cedarwoodprimary.org.uk

Children born between 1/9/2019 and 31/8/2020 can start school in September 2024 and the process to apply for this for this has now closed for the main cohort. Applications can still be accepted if, for example you have recently moved into the area, and details of how to apply can be found on the Suffolk County Council (SCC) website. Any new submissions received now will be processed during the following summer term weeks, and SCC will contact you as soon as they have processed your application.

If your child is not starting school until September 2025, we will be holding Open Days or Evenings in October and November this year. Please keep an eye out for the dates later in this term as these sessions will be invaluable in helping you choose which school is right for your child.
