Ofsted
Ofsted most recently inspected our school in January 2023 and judged us to be 'Good'. The Ofsted inspection report can be found here.
The report truly reflected our school's ethos of Excellence and Enjoyment for All.
The report contained much to celebrate, including:
"Pupils really enjoy attending Cedarwood School. They love the many practical activities they do as part of lessons. These help them have a strong understanding of what they have learned and, as a result, they achieve well. Leaders are ambitious for what pupils can accomplish and have high expectations for their behaviour." "The school is calm and pupils are focused in lessons." "Pupils are encouarged to be refelective in their work. The teaching of key values, such as respect, is woven through the curriculum." "Pupils are kind to each other and accepting of differences." "Reading is celebrated at Cedarwood. The library sits at the heart of the school, offering a range of attractive books." |
This was also recognised in a letter from Allan Cadzow, Corporate Director for Children and Young People for Suffolk, who wrote:
"I wish you warm congratulations on the outstanding teaching and learning enviroment that is evident. Please pass on my congratulations to all your pupils, colleagues, governors, and to parents and carers, I am sure they are very proud of thier school."
