School Meals
Break Times
Children are encouraged to eat and drink at break times. All Key Stage 1 children are provided with either a fruit or vegetable snack at morning break time, so do not have to bring their own snack. Children in Key Stage 2 can normally purchase a snack prepared by the kitchen – snacks must be booked in advance and full details are sent out each half term. Alternatively children in Key Stage 2 may bring their own snack to school but they are only allowed fruit or plain biscuits, which should be separate from their packed lunches. No sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks or drinks with additives are allowed.
Lunchtime
Lunchtime is an opportunity for children to relax over a good lunch. Children can have a packed lunch or a school meal, see choices below. Again no sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks or energy drinks are allowed. We also ask children not to swap items in their pack lunches with friends, nor touch other children's lunches.
The Lunchtime Co provide our school meals, the quality is very high and the meals are nutritious as you will see from our menus. It is a three-week menu and offers two delicious hot main meal options every day – one of which is always vegetarian – as well as the additional school meal options of a filled Jacket potato or packed lunch option. Every Thursday is a ‘Roast Day’ and Friday’s are the one day a week we serve chips! As we are not able to offer our ‘help yourself’ salad bar at present, we are pleased to provide our Rainbow Salad that accompanies some of our dishes and provides a variety of textures, tastes and colours to help encourage children to try something new!
Please see all menus below.
If your child has an allergy or food intolerance and requires a special menu, please complete the caterers' allergy form. If you have any queries please speak to the school office who will be happy to refer you to the Head of Kitchen for assistance.

We have a number of children in school with severe nut allergies so please make sure packed lunches or snacks do not include peanut butter or nuts. Please check the ingredients of cereal/muesli bars etc. and do not bring them to school if they contain nuts - always look for the items in bold writing if you are unsure. Thank you.
How to Pay for School Meals
Foundation and Key Stage 1 children are entitled to a free school lunch. The cost of a school meal for Key Stage 2 children is £2.55 which we would ask you to be pay in advance or on the day that the meal is taken by logging in to Parentmail PMX and visiting the School Shop. Under the section titled 'School Meals' you can pay either in bulk payments or for an individual meal.
